SEMINARIAN WELCOME DINNER

HTS Seminarian Welcome Dinner

The annual Seminarian Welcome Dinner fundraiser to be held Tuesday, October 6, 2009, at the Fairmont hotel in Dallas allows the Catholic public and the seminarians to be able to come together to visit. At this dinner, there is a live auction of priest prize packages, a big board, a silent auction, the popular wine pull, and an angel tree as well as the opportunity to contribute to the Seminarian Scholarship Fund.

The evening is a lot of fun to see old friends as well as make new ones. This year, our keynote speaker will be Bishop Oscar Cantu, auxiliary bishop for the Archdiocese of San Antonio who is an alumnus from HTS.

When the bidding starts on the priest prize package live auction, everyone in the room becomes involved in the excitement and the competition of who will have the highest bid. Following this live auction, will be a big board. It will definitely be an evening of fun.

Along with advertising opportunities in the dinner program, we have sponsorship opportunities as well. You can view SPONSORSHIP INFORMATION HERE. Be sure to make your reservation early for the 2009 Seminarian Welcome Dinner being held Tuesday, October 6, at the Fairmont hotel at 1717 N. Akard Street in Dallas. At Holy Trinity Seminary the relationship with Jesus is considered the foundation for true spiritual formation and authentic discernment.

The daily celebration of the Eucharist provides nourishment for their spiritual journey. Morning and Evening Prayer in common, as well as opportunities to practice the authentic devotions of the Church, promote a lively faith. Communal times of silence on the hall foster the appreciation of quiet in the seminarian's life.

Holy Trinity Seminary is a non-profit corporation operating in the State of Texas. For over 40 years, the Seminary has been dedicated to the education and formation of priests for the Diocese of Dallas, the State of Texas and surrounding states. HTS Alumni are currently serving the Church in Dallas and all over the world, working in parishes, and in a wide variety of ministries.
