For the past four years, I have been teaching/coaching both in the public and Catholic schools—having the opportunity to work in the Catholic schools has deeply and profoundly strengthened the conviction that Christ was calling me to make a total, complete, and sacrificial gift of myself for the sake of the Kingdom of God. As a coach, I was involved with volleyball, basketball, track, and high school football at Strake Jesuit in Houston. God had given me everything I wanted; but I still lacked a sense of fulfillment and excitement in my life. A void where I could only find myself by living for others, and I discovered that fullness once I was accepted into the seminary in order to share this gift with the whole world. Every day I continue to discern the will of God which is ultimately the joy of my soul as well as the good of the community.
