I had the great blessing of attending World Youth Day 2005 in Cologne, Germany, with our Holy Father, Benedict XVI. During that blessed experience, we had the opportunity to attend catechetical sessions with various ordinaries from around North America, and these ordinaries would later celebrate Holy Mass. Theodore Cardinal McCarrick, now Archbishop Emeritus of Washington D.C., during that closing liturgy, pointed to a large group of con-celebrating priests and asked, “how many of you will be over there, sitting with them?” This question has guided my discernment ever since, and has ultimately, made me more aware of God's particular call for my life; and that He simply asks, as St. John‟s Gospel states, “to come and see.”
