Overview

Holy Trinity Seminary was a dream brought to reality in 1964 by Bishop Thomas K. Gorman of the Diocese of Dallas-Fort Worth. It was Bishop Gorman's daring plan to establish a seminary on the campus of the University of Dallas, a Catholic co-educational university. As a result the seminary is located within the 1,000 acre campus of the University of Dallas -- the perfect place to seek God in quiet prayer.

This collaborative model allows our seminarians the opportunity to grow and mature within a full seminary program as well as within the exciting life of a Catholic University campus. The spacious grounds, on the side of a hill overlooking Dallas, offer walking trails for reflection and a rose garden dedicated to Mary.

The rhythm of life is punctuated by gatherings for daily celebrations of the Eucharist, and morning and evening prayer during the week. The Liturgical and Sacramental life is rich with multi-cultural celebrations, including Masses in both English and Spanish.

Seminarians share in community meals, they are assigned an assortment of daily jobs and participate in weekly "work order" where each Seminarian shares in the on-going
maintenance of the building and upkeep of
the beautiful surrounding property.

Preparations for daily liturgies are important aspects of Seminary life.

Seminarians enjoy all kinds of recreational activities and sports. The campus is conveniently located, between Dallas and Fort Worth, providing opportunity for social and cultural enrichment at area museums, the symphony, ballet and theater as well as major sporting events such as Dallas Cowboys Football, Mavericks Basketball and Stars Hockey.

The Seminary Library is available for study or spiritual reading or study throughout the day and will soon be updated with additional resources.
