During
the past several weeks we've watched Bishop-elect Duca as he set to
packing twelve years of "life" as Rector into boxes and suitcases. He
has shared many special moments with faculty, staff, and seminarians
along the way and, as he packs--we listen--and, hopefully are learning
our own life lessons. (below) Most Rev. Kevin J. Farrell pays a visit to
HTS in April.

On May 8, 2008, Bishop-elect Duca said Mass
for everyone in the HTS Chapel and, afterwards, asked for help moving
boxes to his POD outside. We were thankful to be able to help in some
way.
These are joyful days, but also days of looking back at where we've come
from...and, looking forward with anticipation while we "Hope in the
Lord."

On
Friday, May 9, 2008, Edward Holmberg, Holmberg Photography, came to take
another series of portraits of Bishop-elect Michael G. Duca. They are shown in the HTS Student Lounge after the photo session.

There's much to be learned by the simple sign on our Rector's door which
reads, "Have the mind of Jesus."

On May 9, 4:00 p.m. architect Stephen Norman came for a visit with
Bishop-elect Duca to go over continuing plans for updates to the
First Floor --which include an elevator for handicap access as part of
the Phase II Capital Campaign. Yes, Bishop-elect Duca is still working
on it, and we hope to have some news updates for the next Trinitarian
newsletter regarding plans. Norman Architects, LLC, were also the
architects for the HTS Chapel renovations which were completed in 2005.
