Prayer for Bishop-elect Michael G. Duca

   Lord our God, You have chosen your servant,
   Michael Duca to be a shepherd of your flock
   in the tradition of the apostles.

   Give him a spirit of courage and right judgement,
   a spirit of knowledge and love.

   By governing with fidelity those entrusted to his
   care may he build your church as a sign of
   salvation for the world.

   We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ,
   your Son, who lives and reigns with you the
   Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever.
