St. Paul the Apostle: Christmas "Sing-A-Long"

This year's "Sing-A-Long" hosted by the Knights of Columbus Council 12021 was held Sunday, December 16, 2007, at St. Paul the Apostle Parish in Richardson, Texas. The event raised money for the Holy Trinity Seminary's Spiritual Library.

Hundreds of people came out in the cold for the wonderful concert to benefit the HTS Spiritual Library!  All parish choirs and instrumental ensembles participated--St. Paul Youth and Family Choir and Orchestra (SPYFCO) Hispanic Choirs and Youth--who also led the congregation in a Posada. Even college students, home for the holidays, shared their musical talents for the evening.

(Below) Msgr. Michael G. Duca, Rector, Holy Trinity Seminary, welcomes the large audience and thanks them for all their many past contributions to the seminary.

This was the 5th year for the annual Christmas event which has raised thousands of dollars toward Seminary renovations and needs.
The event was born through the efforts of Bernie Gotway,  Youth Choir Director, (shown at right). For the past five years, it has continued to grow and is a festive way for parishioners to celebrate the Christmas Season with family and friends.

Knights of Columbus Council 12021 members coordinated preparations and provided a delicious reception following the event in the St. Paul School Cafeteria.

Everyone really enjoyed a fun night of music at St. Paul the Apostle. Thanks to all who made this such a very special event to benefit Holy Trinity Seminary and our seminarians.
